Immigrants from Naples first held the Feast of San Gennaro on Mulberry Street in 1926 to honor their patron saint, whose feast day falls on September 19. The festival runs eleven days each September along Mulberry Street in Little Italy. A statue of the saint is carried in procession through the street.
